Why this trip exists

Come alone.
That's the point.

In twelve years I kept watching the same thing happen. Someone shows up on their own, has the best day of their trip with us — and then goes back to a hostel and eats dinner by themselves.

So I built the trip I kept wishing I could send them on. Every seat belongs to someone who booked it by themselves. No couples. No families. No group of six who already know each other. Twelve people. One week. One loop.

Landing & the Laguna

Arrive, drop your bag, meet the eleven strangers you're about to spend a week with. We walk down to the Laguna for sunset — flat turquoise water, the mountains going pink behind you. Then a barbecue on the sand, and the introductions that actually matter.

  • Sunset at the Laguna
  • Beach BBQ
  • Meet the crew

The Triple

The big one, on day two on purpose. Snorkel the Blue Hole — a 100-metre sinkhole with a reef wall you reach straight from the beach. Speedboat north to Ras Abu Galum, a protected Bedouin coast with no road in. Bedouin lunch on the sand, then the Blue Lagoon.

Slow day

No alarm. This day is in the itinerary because seven days of jeeps breaks people. Sleep in, eat, walk the promenade, snorkel the Eel Garden straight off the beach, find a hammock. Optional: your first ever scuba dive, in one of the easiest sites on earth.

  • Free morning
  • Eel Garden
  • Discover Scuba
Day 04Red Sea · Tawilat MountainRed Sea · Tawilat Mountain

Yacht & fire

On the water by 8:30. Swimming off the back of the boat, snorkelling over untouched reef, lunch and drinks on deck, nobody in a hurry. Back at four. Then at half eight, up into the mountains for Bedouin tea, a fire show, tanoura, and a sky with no light pollution in it.

  • Full-day yacht
  • Lunch aboard
  • Fire show
  • Bedouin tea

North to Nuweiba

We leave Dahab and drive the coast road north. Nuweiba is quieter, emptier, stranger — the mountains of Saudi Arabia sit right across the water. We take a boat out to fish, and whatever you catch is what you eat. Sleep in a beach camp, door open, feet in the sand.

Day 06St Catherine · Mount SinaiSt Catherine · Mount Sinai

The mountain

The jeeps leave in the dark. You climb Mount Moses in the cold with a headtorch and reach the summit for sunrise — 2,285 metres, the whole peninsula turning gold underneath you. Down to St Catherine's Monastery, one of the oldest working monasteries on earth. Then back to Dahab, and sleep.

Last swim

Slow breakfast. One last swim. Everyone swaps numbers and pretends they're not sad about it. We put you on the bus to Cairo, and you spend ten hours looking out of the window thinking about the week you just had.

The table rule

Nobody eats alone.
Not once, in 7 days.

Dinner is served on one long table, every night, for everyone. It's the single most important thing we do — and the reason people leave this trip with a group chat that's still alive two years later.

You don't have to be the outgoing one. You don't have to work for it. You just show up and sit down.

Who you're going with

Twelve years
on this coast.

I'm Mathew. I've been organising trips in Dahab and Nuweiba for twelve years — not from an office in Cairo, from here.

Long enough to know which Bedouin driver turns up on time and which one doesn't. Which boat captain knows the reef and which one just owns a boat. Which camp in Nuweiba has the good cook and which one only has the good view.

I'm on the trip. All seven days. Not a guide who hands you off at the airport.

Come alone. If by the end of day three you haven't made a single friend — tell me. I'll put you on a bus home and refund every dollar.

No forms. No argument. No "let's talk about it".

How can I promise that?Because I choose who's on the trip. Twelve people, hand-picked, all travelling alone. I'm not selling seats to whoever clicks first — I'm building a group. That's the only reason a guarantee like this is possible.

How to get on

You don't book.
You apply.

I know how that sounds. Here's why it's not a gimmick:

The group is the product. If I sold seats to whoever paid first, I couldn't promise you'd like them — and the whole trip falls apart. So I read every application, and I pick the twelve.

It takes two minutes. Most people get in. The ones who don't are usually couples trying to sneak on.

  1. Message me on WhatsAppThree questions. Two minutes. Written by you, read by me.
  2. I reply — usually within the hourIf it's a fit, I send you the deposit link. If it's not, I'll tell you straight and why.
  3. $150 holds your seatBalance in cash when you land. Free cancellation up to 14 days out.
  4. You're in the group chat that nightThe friendships start before the plane does.

The three questions

That's it. No CV, no interview, no video. I just need to know I'm putting the right twelve people at the same table.

Every review below is from someone who actually travelled with us. If you've been on one of our trips, we'd love you to add yours.

We've just moved our reviews to Google.

Twelve years of trips, and we're only now doing this properly. If you've travelled with us — in a week, a year, or ten years ago — your review is the most valuable thing you can give us.

Takes two minutes. It's how a small operation like ours survives.
